Circular economy · New materials for construction

We recover waste. We develop new materials to build the future.

We give new purpose to plastic waste (including PET, PE and other polymers), composites and construction and demolition waste, developing circular solutions for construction.

Initial scope: Portugal and Spain

Value proposition

From waste characterisation to the development of new construction applications.

OMNI MATTERIA works on two complementary fronts: recovering waste with technical potential, and developing new materials for the construction sector.

  1. 01

    Identify

We identify waste streams with recovery potential together with companies, public bodies and waste operators.

  2. 02

    Assess

We assess composition, quality, volume, regularity and logistics conditions of every stream submitted.

  3. 03

    Develop

We develop new construction applications from recovered materials, in a prototyping and testing environment.

  4. 04

    Create value

We create value from materials that have lost their original use, keeping them in productive use.

The positioning is industrial and technical: every stream is analysed case by case and no application is assumed before validation.

Feedstock sought

Materials we assess for recovery.

We look for regular or one-off streams of materials with technical potential. All materials are subject to prior characterisation and technical assessment.

Assessment conditions

  • Hazardous or contaminated waste is not accepted.
  • All materials are subject to characterisation and technical assessment.
  • Submitting a proposal does not guarantee purchase, collection or acceptance.
  • The model may involve purchase, intake or a recovery service, depending on material, quality, quantity, regularity and logistics.
  • Collection or delivery is assessed case by case.
  • Initial area of operation: Portugal and Spain.

First solution under development

Modular blocks for retaining walls

Product under development

A product currently under development and prototyping, made of recycled plastic and other composites, with a concrete outer layer.

The solution is being designed for use in retaining walls and as a future alternative to gabions.

Construction concept

  • Core made of recycled plastic and other composites.
  • Concrete outer layer.
  • Modular format, designed for building retaining walls.

Characteristics, performance and availability are subject to prototyping, testing and technical validation.

Future development

Prefabricated panels for industrial walls

Research and development track

OMNI MATTERIA intends to apply the same waste recovery principle to the development of prefabricated panels.

These panels are intended, among other uses, for the walls of factories and industrial buildings. This is a research track: companies and specifiers can register interest in these solutions or propose other applications they consider relevant.

Defining the concept, formulations and material recovery criteria.

  2. 02In progress

    Prototyping

Producing prototypes to assess how the materials behave.

  3. 03Future stage

    Testing and validation

Testing and technical validation of characteristics and performance.

  4. 04Future stage

    Future availability

Future availability, depending on the results of the previous stages.

The project is under development and prototyping. The following stages are not complete.

Circular economy

Potential benefits of material recovery.

The OMNI MATTERIA approach starts from a simple principle: materials that have lost their original use can retain technical value when properly characterised and reapplied.

Extend usefulness

Extending the usefulness of materials, keeping them in productive use for longer.

Reduce disposal

Reducing the disposal of waste that today goes to final destination.

Feed new applications

Incorporating recovered materials into new construction applications.

Greater circularity

Developing solutions geared towards greater circularity in the construction sector.

We do not publish environmental impact figures: any such value requires validated measurements and life-cycle analysis.

Main form

I have waste

Submit the material for technical assessment. The more complete the information, the faster the analysis.

Submissions are reviewed and do not constitute any commitment by OMNI MATTERIA to purchase, collect or accept the material.
Material type *

Multiple selection.

An approximate figure is enough.

Origin, form, approximate dimensions, packaging.

Share whatever is known, even if approximate.

Photographs, analyses, technical data sheets and other relevant documentation. Up to 6 files, 10 MB each.

Register interest

For future buyers and specifiers who wish to follow the development of these solutions.

This registration is not an order, a quotation or a pre-sale. It serves to organise existing interest.
